I suffer from major depression and I have been for 6 years. I have been on an assortment of medications and I'm doing ECT right now which is shock therapy and I have done 15 treatments and I am still depressed. I'm just scared I'm going to have to do this for the rest of my life. I mean it can't be good on the brain. I have short term memory loss all the time. It does help with the depression, I just thought it would help more is all. I just feel lost and frustrated.

Hi lunafay,
I am sorry you are not feeling well and I understand why you are concerned. Have you spoken with your pdoc about your meds and the ECT treatments? It may be in your best interest to call your doctor and set up an appointment specifically to review your treatment, progress and concerns. I wish you well. ![]() |
