(Sorry in advance for language, I'm pissed.)

Why is the world so disgusting? Filled to the brim with people who love to **** on everyone around them? To terrify everybody for their own sick amusement? I used to be scared of the supernatural until recently but now I've realized the true menace is other people. They'll bully people until they feel the only solution is suicide. They'll mug other people for pocket change. They'll murder, and ****, and steal. They'll abuse everyone around them and then play the victim.

I'm sick and tired of being a part of this species. You go on blogs of people who are depressed, mentally ill etc, and the comments are disgusting filth. These kinds of people get assaulted by these asshats because they're "weak." Like wolves attacking a wounded deer, they'll spew toxic and cruel insults because they know it'll get to you.

WHY?!

Hi RedStorms,

Yeah, I know where you're coming from. I see it in the every day, the tv news, the internet news, in the community I live in and at work. It amazes me day to day how the majority of people really are just plain nasty. I don't know what to say to you other than each time I see this crap, I am happy that I am the opposite. I think this is what makes me not fit into the majority of society and frankly I take pride in that - I'm not a user, an arsehole or an arrogant f&*k and lets be realistic the world's full of those. But you know what? I truly take pride in being different from the norm. I have realised over time that its ok to stick by your values and beliefs and that very occasionally you will come across another human being who appreciates that in more ways than one.

I am sorry that you are clearly feeling disillusioned but stick with your self and your principles because ultimately whatever choices you make are about you.

I'm sorry you're going through this.

One thing that is often overlooked is that if you stand up to a bully, they'll treat you better in the future. My stepfather loved to ridicule everyone so I grew up cowering to him. Finally the time came when he was being snarky about something so I challenged him on it. It was amazing how much better he treated me after that. Same with the president of our HOA. After he found out he couldn't bully me, he doesn't.

I see many people in my community who are bright lights for others. I hope you encounter some people who see the light in you and respond positively to it.
Thanks for this!
