"Once you touch that darkness,...it never goes away."

I'll never be free from what's happened to me. I'll never be free because it's locked up inside my brain and won't leave. Wreaking havoc on what's left inside and superficially revealing itself as depression and anxiety.
I'll never be free but maybe I can put the ***** to sleep so that I can deal.

I relate. It's hard and never seems to end, but no matter how hard it is...how the struggle never stops, we have to keep going. Stay strong.....Courage!!

“That is all I want in life: for this pain to seem purposeful.”
― Elizabeth Wurtzel, Prozac Nation

“Why do you want to shut out of your life any uneasiness, any misery, any depression, since after all you don't know what work these conditions are doing inside you? Why do you want to persecute yourself with the question of where all this is coming from and where it is going? Since you know, after all, that you are in the midst of transitions and you wished for nothing so much as to change. If there is anything unhealthy in your reactions, just bear in mind that sickness is the means by which an organism frees itself from what is alien; so one must simply help it to be sick, to have its whole sickness and to break out with it, since that is the way it gets better.”
― Rainer Maria Rilke, Letters to a Young Poet
Thanks for this!

That second one is a really good quote, as is the first but the second resonated with me more. Thank you for sharing that.
