I'm sure many of you experience difficulty just getting out of bed in the morning.
What do you do on the days when it seems impossibe ? I'm hungry, but the thought of food turns my stomach. I've got lots to do, yet no drive to even start. |

I hate to say, but when I can't I don't. Some days I can get out to the living room. Sometimes to my art studio.
It sometimes helps if you write a plan the night before. Then there's less anxiety the next morning.

I don't have the option to stay in bed. I have two dogs that demand that I get up and let them out and feed them but if I had choice I would probably stay in bed if I didn't feel like getting up.

im like you,i have a support cat called Mr Shadow who needs his trays cleaning and feeding and his water changing, plus tropical fish and rabbits who need looking after,i have no motivation beyond them to get out of bed whatsoever, some times ill just end up sleeping in till 2pm or later after getting my medication off staff and sorting mr shadow out but thats partly because i have mega insomnia and often cant sleep at night until im exhausted and anxiety calms down.

I can totally relate. My brain is awake even long time before my alarm rings, but my body cannot move. Just standing up is too hard.
I found it helpful to break down steps to really small. Just reach my cell phone, just stop the snooze, just slide my legs, just drop my legs from bed...etc. Sometimes I totally when I drop from the bed, but at least, I can get out of bed. I know it sounds stupid. I was doubtful when I first read it online, but that helps me quite a lot. It doesn't always work, but easier than thinking everything I should do that day. I repeat the small steps until I can finally get out of my room. |
