I am on prednisone for an inner ear issue and have noticed it has alleviated my depression and anxiety! I feel alive and happy, it is a low dose so I am not hyper just feel alive. Anyone else had this happen?
Thanks for this!

Prednisone has always sent me into a full blown mania. Maybe the dose is low enough that it is helping just enough... I can't take it at all... I have to take a dose pack of a different steroid for respiratory and ear stuff...

Yes it makes my sister manic as well, but she started at 80 mg a day I think. My highest was 40. Today is my last taper dose and I am sad to see it go. I know steroids are serious meds and know they can be really bad for our bodies but am amazed how well they help me in mood and relieving anxiety.

I'm always a happy camper when I have to take prednisone. To bad it doesn't last.
