Digesting Depression by The Agenda with Steve Paikin

My Personal Experience with Depression by Gregory B. Sadler

Both videos are on youtube. I think I'm gonna binge watch Dr.Sadler's videos soon. I'm looking at this new 'core concept' series and 'My phase' videos, I think they are easier than his other serious lecture stuff.

Edited to Add:
'George Orwell and 1984: How Freedom Dies' by Academy of Ideas

This made me think of the importance of individual free thinking and cognitive development. It's just something I came across today...

Nassir Ghaemi and The Psychological Fallacy By Philip Hickey, PhD, @Mad in America

This was a good read, both guys know a thing or two about philosophy, it is possible someone could fall deeper in their depression after reading this. So, please stop reading if the article seems too much for you. 'Thus Spoke Zarathustra' could send some Christians into tailspin of doubt, similar mental crisis could happened to a naïve mind. Sorry if I sound too pompous or too egoistic, it's just a fatum of a higher man, trying to perfect his solitude.

By the way, Dr.Nassir Ghaemi has some lecture videos available on youtube, they looked cool. It's your belief and value system, and these are action predicated theories, I don't see any reasons for us members to be opposing to each other, I'm neither an establishment nor a sponge for your Ressentiment, I'm simply a bridge to this self-organizing chaos, of multiplicity, un-catchable and un-herd-of, go study Heidegger with philosophy brothers at 'Crazy Philosophy' social group if you don't like me, до свидания.

Edited to Add:
It might be also helpful to philosophize on 'Hickam's dictum' in psychiatry.

I have written a long chapter on Depression in my book (see the link below.) I hope it is helpful. There are many sources of help--therapy, groups, readings, friends and caring loved ones. If you can think of important ways to reduce the awful feelings of depression, please share your wisdom and personal experiences with me directly or on the Sharing Self-Help Ideas forum.

So like a great idea to write about it.

This site has been discontinued. It's really a shame because it was a great site with a wonderful mood tracker.

988 is now active across the United States. This new, shorter phone number will make it easier for people to remember and access mental health crisis services. (Please note, the previous 1-800-273-TALK (8255) number will continue to function indefinitely.)
