I feel absolutely drained and exhausted. I am being made homeless soon, and it's really taken its toll on me. I have schizoaffective disorder and any kind of stress or pressure causes me to relapse. I haven't washed in days, my limbs can hardly move from my bed I just want to bury my head in the sand. I will be living with my parents so I'll have a roof over my head, but losing my home is painful and it's all because my illness won't let me work.

Feeling bad at the moment. Probably doesn't help that I keep forgetting to take my meds. Does anyone here have schizoaffective disorder?

I don't know what it's like to have schizoaffective disorder. I do have classic bipolar disorder with psychotic features. It makes working nearly impossible at times, to be honest, I haven't worked since August. I'm pretty prideful, and not working and not having my own home because of it really upsets me. Makes me feel like a child who can't even take care of a dog.
Remembering meds is really important and maybe your parents can help you a bit with that struggle. Then, just take it step by step. If you keep working at it, there's a high possibility you'll be able to get a home and support yourself, again. Every now and then, a "setback" is an opportunity to improve upon ourselves and become the person we believe possible, or even better. This time, you could use it to master being in charge of your life, where you illness will have little effect. Once you achieve that, the world is yours to concur.

This is your first post here, so welcome to PC. Glad you found us

I hope being with your parents, although far from ideal, will give you the break you need to get back on your feet. I'm pretty sure major things like this happen for a reason. We just don't know it at the time. So depressed I can hardly move from my bed
