Who else on here suffers from long-term depression and feels totally hopeless about the future? I struggle with this every day now. I know life is not meant to be this way.

Yeah... I guess I've been struggling, after my own fashion, my whole life. Fortunately, in my case, there's not a whole lot of future left to be hopeless about...

I was just diagnosed with dysthymic disorder, I guess I can get really down and out about the future sometimes because no one knows what is going to happen.

Diagnosed in the mid 90's, dysthymia with overlapping major depressive disorder. Fun.......... NOT. Especially if you'd been there to see what I had to do to get help. Not a pretty sight.
