Does anyone else struggle with being tired all the time? I found out I have hypothyroidism and I think it's new thing for me because I've had a lot of bloodworm done in the last few years so I'm sure it has been tested before. I had been extremely tired for a few months before getting treated. They are still working out the dose. My fatigue has definitely improved but it can still be pretty bad.

I also recently started taking a stimulant in the last few months too.

I feel like when I first started both treatments my fatigue improved but it's like it's slowly coming back. And I don't know if it's mental health related or something physical. I am so tired of being exhausted. Who else has this issue?

Among other things, I suffer from hypothyroidism. It was discovered after depression set in. Unfortunately, the benefit of the medication I take for hypothyroidism is minimal. I strongly suspect my near-permanent fatigue is a tangle of the physical, psychological and pharmacological.

Hello BlueMerleGirl: Well... I presume I'm mostly worn out all of the time now due to old age. But fatigue is something I've always struggled with. When I was a teenager (many decades ago now) a doctor told my parents I had an "underactive thyroid" I think it was... or maybe it was "over active". Now that I think about it... I'm not sure I recall... Anyway... he prescribed me some pills of some sort for it. But the pills made me exceedingly groggy. So my parents threw the pills away & that was the end of that.)

I've always struggled with varying degrees of depression plus a boat-load of anxiety. And I presume that this has had something to do with my high levels of fatigue. The thing is, after a while, all of this stuff does just begin to blend into one another so that after a while it becomes pretty-much impossible to tell what's causing what. At least that's been my experience.

Antidepressants definitely have a strong effect on fatique. I feel out of breath at most of the week too. I try to take vitamins B12, magnesium, and steroids to counteract fatigue. These things do make me feel better and I can go biking without feeling exhausted
