Anyone else feel totally incapable of making decisions about anything important? Like you just have to find the best person you can to get advice from, or get opinions from friends because there isn't a self that feels one way or another?

I know what you mean. I feel so completely apathetic and I just can't motivate myself to do anything about it.

Hi
This is a sign that my depression is worsening. When my depression improves, I am able to make decisions. Hope you feel better soon

Yes, the 'good feelings' that used to motivate us are gone. It is not a very bad thing to be free from these 'distractions'; the problem is that now bad feelings accompany our actions and tend to motivate us to stillness.

I find it hard to make decisions. The same with my husband. Between us, deciding things takes a long time.

I have been posting on PC for about a year or two about an issue that I can't decide on. And it's driving me nuts! It's about selling my condo unit and move out. I have anxiety about doing it. Last year, I was on fire about wanting to sell and move out. It happened during the Fall of 2015. A year ago right at this time, I felt like I wanted to stay because my finances and my neighbors had improved. And then in the spring of 2016, I regretted not selling. My finances and the people all went downhill at that time and after.

As of now, it seems like it's taking a same pattern as last year. Right now I feel good about being in my place because my finances is improving and no one is bothering me. But I get the feel by spring, I will feel like I did last year. Want to move out again.

So I don't know! I need help, but maybe this is a good thing for me!

Yes, when depressed I'll have no energy to think to make decisions. Even when I have some energy, anxiety kicks in, which makes it hard to decide.
