Sitting here and not feeling too well, but smiling. I am +55 and still have a depression diagnose. Oh, please don't feel disappointed if you are young. Don't think: «Oh, shall my depression continue until I'm 50 or older»? A much better way to relate to your depression, is to think about it as something that is treatable, but can be influenced by things outside of yourself. A lot of science tells that therapy only, medication only or a combination of both helps a lot of people. So there is hope!!Think about it as breaking your leg. You go to the doctor and get it plastered. May be the doctor tells you that it will take from 6 to 8 weeks before you are well again. After 4 weeks you fall and have to have your leg plastered again. New start, but after nearly 6 weeks it snows and a car hits you. ....

You understand what I mean. When fighting our depressions, we can have additional loads that complicate our way to a better life. Some of us have so many of these that we hardly can carry them. Then we grow from 20 to 25, from 25 to 35, from 35 to 45 and so on. What I'm trying to say is that if we have to adapt to «stormy weather» for a long time we will have difficulty seeing all the progress we have done.

My life became somewhat like that, but not without victories. I have been able to celebrate having children and see them grow – I could celebrate my exams – my jobs – my vacations and more. I'm trying to say that life have it's surprises of good and bad quality, but that it is always worth fighting

Never give up fighting what ever happens!

If I had given up the fight against depression, I might have missed my exams, my jobs, the fun in between and more ... I can assure you that there were times when I wanted to give in, but I didn't.

What I want to day is to say to all of you who feel that your load to carry is too heavy, please continue the good fight for a better life. Keep the HOPE alive!

HOPE for those who struggle!
