I’m wishing everyone something warm or unexpectedly positive this spring. I know I’ve said this before... I want to thank all the kind supportive people here, it’s not an easy job staying alive and still staying kind and as true to self as we can. I guess we’re all works in progress.

I love the picture of the black bear you posted. A lot of them live in the woods around here.

Thanks for wishing that we would have a good spring. I'm hoping that it would be a good spring myself. In recent years spring has not been very kind. I had some health issues during that season. Most minor, but even then, it takes something out of me. I've had some skin cancer treatments at this time of year. It's not bad but it's an adjustment for a little bit of time. There was the prostate cancer surgery I had three years ago right at this time of year, which was huge. And I had some infections at this time of year. Right now the outdoor conditions remind me of those times; like I am reliving those days.

And then the pool area gets taken up by other people; and sometimes they are the kinds of people I want to see go away. This is the time of year I start to get bug bites and marks on my skin that are mysterious.

Sorry for being down. Maybe this will be a good spring for me.

I'm hoping it will be a good season too. Even though I'm locked up here I go outside every day which was more than I did in my apartment. That takes some of the unhappiness away.

I'm feeling cautiously optimistic that it will be a good spring. Even though it's only 4 C, I have my living room window open a crack. The spring air is just so fresh. And I love the sunshine after a long dark winter.

I'm also coming out of a very deep depression which was in at least part caused by a severe iron deficiency that was recently diagnosed. I'm now on a high iron supplement and have way more energy, my mood is better, and my hair is growing back.
