I just wanted to take a moment and share the drastic change that has happened in my life, and for the first time I actually feel like a whole person. I think I can safely attribute that to Abilify.

When talking about depression -- there is one symptom I've not been comfortable being open about, and that's my intrusive thoughts -- be it about death, suicide, running away... all very negative things... I just assumed it was a part of dealing with depression.

Abilify has dynamically changed the game for me. I don't have those thoughts anymore. I feel truly 500% improved simply not to have those thoughts anymore -- improved mood, sleep, sense of worth etc. I, even with 8 different combinations of anti-depressants in 2 years, and my short 25 year old life span... has never felt this "OK" and it is truly a blessing I cannot overlook.

All medication has effects and can each person can react differently to a medication. I'm not saying it's a cure all or it's some magic drug, but for me ... it means I for once think tomorrow is worth looking forward to.

In part, depression is definitely a chemical imbalance and that is why drugs can help. Abilify, for example, plays on dopamine. It's made the difference for me.

Anyway-- while not trying to promote the drug or the combination I'm having to take, I would ask you to consider talking to your doctor about certain, especially debilitating symptoms of your depression which may be cured through the use of another drug. I know I am not the only person to experience this joy and relief from everything you have ever known.... but I have to tell you how sweet it is to have that. Even if it isn't permanent, it's still worth searching for.

I'm glad abilify has helped you. I tried it myself a couple of years ago now, and it did help somewhat, but unfortunately I couldn't tolerate the side effects.

I hope you continue to do well

I started Abilify 4 weeks ago and it helped me out of a severe depression. I take Wellbutrin and Klonopin as well. I haven't seen the improvement you have but before I was having SI, panic attacks etc. I no longer have that.

Glad you're doing so well.
