Is it normal to have a relapse into depression even if no major life events are happening. I was doing so well but then everything seemed to fall apart and I'm worse than I've ever been before. It's scaring me quite a bit because I don't know what is making me feel so horrible, cold, and bitter. Is there a way I can help myself recover again because nothing I've tried that helped before is working...

Yes it's possible. There are some of us with recurrent depression and there's no trigger. Did you take meds last time? If so that could clear this up. I'm sorry you're having a tough time. I hope you feel better soon.

It can definitely happen. When was the last time you had depression? What did you do to get out of it?

I don't take medication, though I know it would help. I need to get off my parents insurance before I seek help because they don't believe in mental illness

To help myself I surrounded myself with people and also helped others through struggles because I knew I needed to feel needed, but this is a different feeling because I feel more like a burden even if people need me.

I'm sorry to hear that. I have family members as well who don't believe in mental illness. It just makes it that much harder. Could you see your GP for medication. You might be able to get around it that way. Good luck.
