i don't know what it is like in your community but here we have low cost to no cost providers. absent that, check the resources available here on this site. when things aren't extremely terrible there are hundreds of self-help books available. posting here and receiving support from others in similar situations is a therapy in a way.

Anyway, keep trying, people care, sometimes it is a matter of finding them though...

Hailley, how do you know you don't qualify for help from local and/or state? Call someone in the State insurance office and see if there isn't something somewhere?

Maybe you could find a T who will take you on sliding scale payments. Heck - maybe your community resources have a sliding scale program. It's not free, but it's better than full price and better than nothing.

Some of the med companies have programs for free or reduced cost meds. Usually they have something on their website.

CMHCs usually have sliding scales - couldn't remember the word before.

As for prescription insurance, many facilities (hospitals, clinics) carry prescription assistance programs where you can get meds at low or now cost. You can also get in touch with the pharmaceutical companies and ask for assistance...many times they run their own programs.

I wish you well!
