Hello Lysa65, I'm afraid I have no knowledge on long term housing in the U.S, but I see this is your first post and I wanted to welcome you to PC. I hope you find your time here to be of benefit.

Unfortunately you may have to stay at a shelter for a while and try to search for low cost housing in your area. If you are unable to keep a job at this time, it would be worth it to apply for disability as well.
Thanks for this!

Lysa, Have you tried being seen at your local Health and Human Services department?

Thank you for your welcome....I am homeless and have been on the streets as well as shelters...they are both dangerous places and inhumane...you get stole from..raped..and abused... and disability denied me...said i didnt work enuff in the past 10 years...an institution is my only hope
