9 years ago I was 16 and I went in for panic attacks. This time I went in and my mother actually paid half the cost for the session. I felt better after the therapy because I vented the thoughts of harming and self harming. Now the therapist recommended me for an evaluation, to see what I have.
At the same I feel guilty. Sometimes my mother is a good mother other times really bad. The therapist also asked if she could speak to my mom, was that the right thing to do if you observed your mother is a covert narcissist? Is it possible for me to be depressed with no external factors? |

I'm sorry you are having such a tough time. I, personally, based on your relationship with your mom wouldn't have agreed to it. Yes, it is possible to be depressed without any external factors. It happens to me often. I hope you get evaluated soon and get on the road to recovery. Best wishes.

It may be possible to b depressed with no external factors, however there is usually a root to why we are the way we are. If you're not comfortable with the therapist talking to your mom, maybe you could say "not yet". You may decide it's ok later or you may not. It's always your choice.
I hope your evaluation helps you get the help you need and deserve. ![]()
