Hi I just finished watching a movie and I have noticed that when things end I start to feel very very low . I am a bit scared of finishing things .

Does this happen to you too?

Is it normal?

Yes this happens to me . I think its because we are escaping our thought and when it finishes our thoughts come flooding back in and its like " oh no . what do I do now to escape ? "

Pretty much what cryingontheinside said. You use things to escape from reality, and when it's over you're forcefully pushed back into your regular life.
Sometimes it makes me feel terrible because there's only so many things that make me feel some kind of genuine emotion, so when that song/show/whatever ends I just feel even more low.

In addition to what the others said ....

Endings are always more melancholy than beginnings. Lots of people find the end of a good story or of some other thing in their life a little inherently sad. Just because it's over. Depression can amplify that into something much worse than a little passing feeling.

So the essence of it is pretty normal. But the depression causes a transitory thought to take root. It happens to me often enough. I usually try to move on to something else when that happens.
