I think it's all about blind optimism.
"You have potential", "You are not weak", "You are a beautiful human being". I am starting to think, if I thought I have no potential, weak or a beautiful human being, then the thoughts are true. Because if I can instinctively say those thoughts then they have to be true. Anyone saying otherwise is disagreeing with the sensations I'm having from the environment. With that I will say, I don't think I have value. I am a most not beautiful human being because I "have a mental illness" which repels people from me (as also said from psychologists as either stigma or depression being "emotionally draining"). I always hoped for potential though. But you know, I just don't care about fulfilling things. You know why? Because they're just a means to make people love and value you, when I wish them to value you for who you are, and not for what you do. Although I'll be honest, there are people in life I don't value when they have nothing to offer for conversation. See? Works on me, too. It's not just "others". Great... |
