Hi there,

When you think about dying, how does it make you feel? Are you scared and not wanting to die, or is it more along the lines of actually wanting to die? There is a big difference between the two. The first usually indicates anxiety, the second generally indicates depression and feeling suicidal.

Even if it's anxiety and you're not a danger to yourself, it is still very important to address that issue because anxiety can be a crippling thing. Is there a chance you could find a therapist that would help you work on this, or even an anxiety group therapy? (I am going to be in one, starting mid-November, and I hope it helps!)

If it is the case of you wanting to die, I would encourage you to call a crisis line and speak to someone. It may help just to talk things out, or you may need an inpatient stay.
Thanks for this!

13 year olds can see a therapist. It's a good idea to go sooner rather than later before things get worse. Your parents need to know. Maybe you can think of some ways to make it easier to tell them?
Thanks for this!

I agree with LittleEarthquakes, soon than later, the soon the better!
I have been there when I was your age, I am at the same spot (or worst) 12 years later.
Don't do the same mistakes I did, if not your parents find help somewhere else, maybe at your school... a teacher or a counselor.

Be strong and best of luck!
Thanks for this!
