Come on here and tell us about a happy memory. Cheer us up, and cheer yourself up!

Something big, something small—anything at all...

I’ll start...the happiest thing I can remember happening lately is me texting a response to a radio show, and they selected my answer and called me! They put me on hold for a little bit, then put me on the radio to tell a silly story

I won tickets to the zoo!

Spending days getting a juvenile scrub jay to trust me. It hatched in the cherry tree in my yard. After about a week from when it left the nest, it was willing to land on the patio table I was sitting at and take bread from me.

when relatives from the UK came to visit earlier this year.

when my nephew was staying over at my parents' (his grandparents') house and they suggested he have a bath, and he said, "no, I'm from earth!" (he's three)

Playing on the front porch of the Wonderland Lodge in the mountains of Tennessee with my cousins and having raccoons climb up on the porch to take m&m's out of our hands

Summers in the old country with family before everything was ruined.

My mother pouring tea for me around a big table with all my cousins and aunts and uncles, and very good food.

Making dough animals with my brother and grandfather.

Wow, this can be hard when I’m not in the mood for this, but that is the point...

Going to the zoo and staying as long as we can! We found out we could stay one hour past closing, and we went back to the red panda—and we were able to see the red panda’s face! We had never seen it before.

The only thing written on my final essay for an argumentative writing class in college: "You should be teaching this class." Mind you, I never got above a C in all of high school.

When I was little, my dad used to fill up a huge cooler of water balloons for every family cookout in the summer. It looked like he was bringing sodas...but he was not.

Running into my old jazz pianist friend at state after I hadn’t seen him for a year—he ran up to me, snatched me up in a big hug and spun me around a few times. So fun!! I’m tall and don’t expect to be picked up, so that was really great!

Feeding raccoons—I know now you’re not supposed to do that. I could not believe how fearless they were. It was a group of a mom and half-grown kits. They were so cute. They don’t stick their faces into food; they pick it up with their little hands. It’s like they have manners.

Swimming in the ocean at night with my daughter. We swam out to the retaining wall and screamed when we felt something on our feet—it turned out to be seaweed LOL

My cat, who is not a lap kitty, deciding to get comfortable on my big belly and resting his head in my arms. I was so happy I cried.

The memory of being completely present within that moment during meditating, and for a short time being free of any anchored emotions disturbing the peace. There was light, I was happy and my smile was authentic. I wish I took a photo

Losing 60 pounds so I could walk 2 miles at the Grand Canyon. I rode the train in and it was a heavenly view. Once I got there I walked and walked. Took photos, chatted with vendors, looked at the sights, had lunch and watched natives dance. It was one of the best days of my life.

My daughter was apprehensive about the separation and upcoming divorce between her dad and me. At the time she had a huge crush on Justin Bieber and wanted to go to his house in Atlanta to meet him. On a day she was particularly upset I said let’s hop in the car, drive to Atlanta and find him.

While we were looking we stopped at an outlet mall to get her some toys, went to the zoo to check on the animals and went by the airport to watch the planes take off. She would wave and the pilots would wave back from where they were docked right outside the restaurant.

We never found Justin Bieber but we had the best time together and she realized everything was going to be ok.
