Hi, I was wondering if anybody successfully quit taking Celexa (Citalopram)? My Dr told me I could come off it last Spring so I weaned myself off it with very few side effects but started getting bad anxiety and panic attacks last summer (which I never had before I went on this medication) so now I am back on it. I also read somewhere that stopping SSRI’s can bring about other medical conditions (such as happened to me) and I am very upset by this it makes me wish I had never started the medication in the first place!

Yes, it’s not easy. My Dr says I should have given it more time but I couldn’t live with the panic attacks. I may try again sometime
