key tones (and a few others over time) have been practicing some therapeutic techniques in a few threads here. Oddly, I couldn't seem to find a recent one in this forum with the simple message of just posting something positive -- no matter how small. So, I'll put this here.

If anyone else wants to join in, it doesn't have to be complicated or hugely insightful. It just has to be something for you.

I was looking at one of my posts, and thought -- you should repeat that one part. The rest was dealing with gloomy places, but the one part was not. I'm feeling well enough at the moment that it just might sink into my rather thick skull.

There is nothing better than a friend. Unless it is a friend with chocolate.

(Don't remember where I heard this).

Really good idea for a thread.

I love the chocolate covered peanut M&Ms. More, than just the straight chocolate ones actually. But I'll eat those if you're sharing. If I must.

So, let's recap.

Me : chocolate
Second poster: chocolate
Third poster: chocolate

I think someone should do a proper study on the effects of chocolate on depression. I'll volunteer.

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times.

Chocolate is FRUIT

Chocolate vs. peanut M&Ms - I like them both, but I have to say, the peanut ones are BETTER!

Of course you feel better after eating chocolate. I had some for breakfast. They can add this to the study.

Weeeeeee!!

OK, silliness aside, I’m making a small positive statement.

I’m going to see my therapist today (she has regular Saturday appts), and I will focus on her suggestions.

It also gets me off the internet and out of the house on Saturdays.

I hope you all have a great Saturday!

This doctor does! I think it is an excellent therapeutic vocalization that should be practiced regularly.

Go to an elementary school or park playground, hop on a swing or something, and start squealing with delight!!

I take your point, KT.

But SOME doctors should never say, 'Weeeeeee!!' People have to take their clothes off in front of them! Obviously, in a way, 'Weeeeeee!!' would be a compliment... NO. It's all WRONG.

Hope your appointment went well.

You can heal your life.

That's my small positive statement. It's that book with the same title, by Louise Hay. I'm reading it and think it's really good!

I have friends here on PC.

Not such a small thing after all.
I've posted it before, but I appreciate this quotation:

"Whatever Arises, Love That."

It's the title of another book. I saw it in the yoga store today, and it stuck with me a lot.
