Thank you Fuzzy. I had forgotten about this little gratitude and positive thoughts thread. Re-reading it, I was very touched once again by the astonishingly lovely comments people made about me when I was more active in these forums. Thank you everyone.

We never know when a few kind words might really help someone get through the day. Like myself, people in this forum often find it hard to believe -- but you do make a difference.

Not such a small thing after all.
I've posted it before, but I appreciate this quotation:

Some of us are still here

I also appreciate that quote, it is excellent and so true

I send love to all here and those who are missing (purple and key tones and others)

Some may have moved on, or be absent at least for now, but I feel fortunate to have known them.

In the early spring, our Japanese maples start leafing out. You've never seen anything so delicate as those tiny little pale green (or red) leaves just beginning to emerge from their twigs.

Hey Ceph,
Do you have the picture of the displeased bear?

Yesterday, I took a moment to speak to someone working away at their job in the background while everyone else went about their day. They seemed to really appreciate it.

Today was a beautiful day and I had a great time running errands with my 83 year old mom. She’s frail but we were like Thelma and Louise and got a lot done! Tomorrow will be even better.

In the non-PC world, I comforted a stranger who confided about his anxiety. He told me: "I usually don't tell anyone this stuff but you are kind and have a soothing voice."

Money is fantastic. I was never really materialistic, but I just have an appreciation for it. I am learning to budget properly so even though I may be scrimping a little I can still get things that I really want and like, (just have to wait a bit for it).

So my positive statement is:

Budget properly, because the rewards can be so great!

A few weeks ago, I was walking at night and looked at the stars for the first time in a long while.

I know the constellations and the planets. I recognize meteors, satellite flares, and space station passes among other things. It felt comforting and serene. Knowing all about what I'm looking at makes it more beautiful and majestic, not less.
