Hi little turtle. I know depression is tough. For me I have to start the day with exercise like yoga just to get out of bed. It gives me energy and feeling better. If you are okayed by your doc for exercise, check out this intro

there is HOPE... but you have to know what is going on...many depressed persons also have pre-diabetes...that puts you at risk for continued mood problems...I am working on this...

there is hope...we seem to have different kinds of depression problems here...
#1---major depression with significant disability...mental illness...maybe needs drugs
#2---depression that is acute and will resolve more easily....mental health problem not mental illness...
#3---depression caused by medical problems like low thyroid....not mental illness

Actually I feel hopeless about the future. When I feel a little positive I still doubt my positivity. Btw the panic attacks have become less intense but the depression increased a lot. I can't get up from bed before 12pm/1pm. Even then I feel sleepy throughout the day and dont feel like following the daily routine that I have chalked out for myself.

I have been advised that in depression the feeling of well-being comes and goes interrupted by the dark phases till it becomes stable. We have to be a little patient but determined to fight the dark phases. But when the depression dominates I feel hopeless and helpless - then I doubt if the feeling of well-being is going to return at all or not.

is any of your medication causing you to feel tired and sleepy....are you having any side effects from your medications...I am asking you as your friend not as your doctor...

I don't think it's any medicine. The only medicine that can make me sleepy and depressed is amisulphride. But the deterioration happened after my pdoc decreased the dose from 100mg to 50mg. Increasing the dose could have made me sleepy, not decreasing the dose.
I think it's low brain chemicals.

Oh eating is a prob. I don't feel hungry and get nauseous when I see and smell food. But I still like kebabs, soups and salads. I am an Indian still the smell of general Indian food specially the gravy is making me nauseous.Coz of my depression I am not being able to cook anything myself. I stay in bed most of the day.

I am thinking now that most depression out there is not mental illness..
but it is a mental health problem....we are being told to take a drug...
pharm is saying take a drug...doctor is saying take a drug...psychiatrist is saying take a drug....nurse practitioner is saying take a drug...but most people may be dealing with one of life's problems not a mental disease..
I think most people are stressed about something in their life...something is not going right...these psych drugs can present some serious problems..and getting off the drugs can be a very big problem...I like the idea of talking about it with someone you can trust...

Right now I don't want to see a therapist. My last 2 therapists were not efficient and understanding. In my country India we don't get good therapists. So I plan to endure my panic attack and depression pains till they decrease and the feel-good feeling returns. Meanwhile I m trying to maintain a daily routine and set small goals for myself.
