The only reason my mother calls me is if she needs something done or a favor. She knows nothing about me, how I'm doing, that I no longer have a job. She seems completely indifferent. Just..."can you come set up my tv", and that is all. Other than that I don't hear from her and it's like she doesn't really care for me.
I'm just reminded that I'm all alone. Have always been actually.

Try to make friends. Or you can also call your mother to see how she's doing. That helps and will get her to reciprocate. Be interested in her and you may see a change.
