just want to see what people have to say about this:
You only have a small about of energy/focus/effort and can only choose one, so which do you choose to use it on: physical things/problems or mental things/problems???? what would you choose, why would you choose that, and how do you go about coming to terms with your decision......... |

I have found that finding excuses to put stuff off is counterproductive. Do the first thing that pops into mind. If you're still not sure, toss a coin and leave it up to fate. Overthinking never has been beneficial to me other than mind masturbation that spirals into exhaustion. I have very limited energy myself, having liver cirrhosis.
Diary, journal etc so you know what to do next time, should your situation progresses, you did something right. ![]() |

Hi. If I only had a small amount of energy/focus/effort, I think I'd use it on physical things/problems. Because keeping myself tuned physically also takes a certain amount of mental effort, so it's like killing two birds with one stone, so to speak. Yes.

I would go with mental issues/problems if I had to choose any one. You need to be mentally strong most of the time, in fact all the time. Think about it.

I would go with mental things because that's my wheelhouse and would have a bigger impact on my well being but it's a close call for me.

By far I would choose mental issues over physical ones.
However in reality, if you have an illness, chances are very good that it can lead into depression. Major depression can possibly lead into an illness. |

I would have to go with physical things, because I have so many physical things I have to take care of, with out any help.

Whatever is most important, I would say.
Assuming physical needs like food and safety are taken care of, I would try to focus on mental health. Between something like new possessions and new experiences, I would probably choose the latter. |
