Making Stress Your Friend
"Stress. It makes your heart pound, your breathing quicken and your forehead sweat. But while stress has been made into a public health enemy, new research suggests that stress may only be bad for you if you believe that to be the case. Psychologist Kelly McGonigal urges us to see stress as a positive, and introduces us to an unsung mechanism for stress reduction: reaching out to others." https://www.ted.com/talks/kelly_mcgo...ss_your_friend This is a 14 minute TEDTalk video. ![]() WC

I don't see where the speaker differentiates between acute/chronic stress.
Reaching out may be helpful in either case? I am sure that reaching out does not resolve the stress. Reaching out to the wrong people may compound the stress. ![]() In watching, I'd again realized I am at PC, "reaching out" and there must be a reason I do this? It must, somehow, help me. ![]() ![]() WC
