That's a first . A Samaritan said she had to go because I've been on the phone to her for long enough .
It's not the first time Samaritans have tried to get off the phone to me by saying well ok then you can call back any time , when I wasn't finished with the call . Well thanks . I guess I'm not even worth talking too |

That sort of thing has happened every single time but once. And that once, she stayed on with me for over two hours and I ended up getting help rather than ending up in forced IP. She was a good one who didn't care if she lost her position as long as she could help just one person. That's something to respect. But I digress.
It was wrong of them to do that to you. Is there any other local hotline or even a national one? Or maybe just peer chat groups.

I’m so sorry that happened. Is it possible it was due to a shift change?
I hate it when they say you can call back any time as it does feel like they’re trying to get rid of you but I’m not sure they are. Don’t forget you can just call back. |

I'm sorry that happened, as well. Many of the helplines that I'm aware of have some sort of time limitation, which I can understand for practical reasons - but also know it to be extremely frustrating trying to blurt out what might be a lifetime's worth of potential causalities in some fixed timespan of x minutes...
