I am a long time sufferer of TMD, the pain, the constant discomfort, and other things that come with it
I had a bunch of tests done and nothing came up I have a stuffed left ear and clicking noise near my joint at all times. I've been to several docs And all they say is something is bothering you, you're stressed out, manage your stress, ignore it So I'm wondering what else can be done I've looked up this stuff everywhere online, and it seems lot of people suffer with this forever |

You already know this, but I feel it's important to bring it u again, but not directed to you.
I wouldn't trust most of the stories because it's the internet and it has never had factual information regarding the lifestyles of the users/members. Having the advice and guidance from health care providers is a more 'trustworthy' outcome as they are more focused on your needs and if be, offer you solutions that just work, compared to articles written by sufferers who have major trust issues with doctors. (Something I struggle with, but getting there) I believe you could benefit from speaking to a dietitian. Unfortunately the information on the web isn't monitored and to prove anything valuable needs credible sources, not just names of people who have been referenced. If you're not being taken seriously, ask for a referral to another doc. Doctors think differently. They'll stick by their oath. But in my case (doctors find this odd) I'm in less physical pain when I'm depressed, other than the head stuff going on. And water does help. Science tells us were made up of the stuff Not sure if people are venting or asking for help here anymore..maybe it's both.. Monday is always overwhelming |

I think that depression can make you more susceptible to physical ailments, through weakened immunity & changes in physical behavior. I suspect that it can also make you more sensitive to failing pain that you might otherwise ignore. And as 2ISAB noted, it can also render you less sensitive to the latter.
Rohag, thanks for that link - I've had the clicking/locking jaw thing for years & never knew that it actually had a name... |
