Have you done anything for “self care” today?

If anyone replies, I’m hoping for replies outside the “box”

I can’t take meds, can’t have pets (or even ride horses) or volunteer etc (severe allergies)

I can do some things... personally I think self care is deeper than “doing things”

Idk..

I don’t know what I’m saying really or why I’m posting this

Fades off into the Fuzzybear forest

(Please no posts about meds)

I have been food shopping . I bought everything healthy . I want to do some cleaning in the kitchen if I can find the motivation so that I can prep my healthy meals for the next few days

I have been reading books. Im currently reading a history book called Saladin by John Man. I watched Korean drama called Come and Hug Me. Its a serial murderer drama. It's awesome. And lastly watched bunch of youtube videos. That's it.

Stopping and taking a break when I started to feel overwhelmed.

Leaving the house & carting myself over to the library (however, this probably aligns more with self preservation, rather than self care, since the library has electrical power & air conditioning...)
Thanks for this!

Listening to

“She smiled sweetly and says don’t worry”

Self care, listening to music

“I understood, for once in my life”

(I don’t understand this world, but I like this song)

As minor as it might be, I made myself get out of bed. After I woke up I was immediately starting to feel sad, so I made myself move before it got too bad that I would have stayed in bed all day. I got on my PC to watch a streamer I like and then played a bit of a game until that got boring. Now trying to find something else to do, so poking my head into the forums until hopefully something else comes along to keep my mind off of sads. Thinking of treating myself to a pizza for dinner.

At work I was kind to a co-worker in distress, like really kind. she was so scared. I think I made her feel better. Not really self care but I haven't done much of this lately and while kind of forced into it, I felt better for having shown her compassion.

I left work way too early today and I just didn’t care. I happily went home and laid on the couch for hours. Does that count?
