There was a girl that was so sad and shy . She didn't know how to communicate with others. She wasn't loved and she got hurt alot.

When she got older she didn't know how to live life . She got hurt more and made alot of mistakes along the way .

Now she lives alone isolated from the world . She is afraid to go out. She feels unloved and unliked. She spends most of her time on her own. Thinking about the pasts makes her feel sad or ashamed . Thinking about the future makes her feel unhopeful and defeated . Thinking about the present makes her feel disappointed lonely and suicidal.

anyway one day this girl stumbled across a website where their were lots of other people in her situation, and lots of people that she could turn to for help.

she started posting their often, pouring out all her emotions in to her posts- and safe in the knolledge that she would never be judged, or told her feelings were invalid.

people started to give this girl tips and coping skills, and soon she felt loved by the whole comunity.
Thanks for this!

I struggle with depression and while I would say my worst days in its grasp are over, there's still more to go. Now I don't know what you've been through and I won't inquire to ask, but I can tell you're in pain so I'll send virtual hugs your way.

I was recently given some very useful advice along the lines of: "Ask if your emotions are helpful or unhelpful rather than good or bad, and if the answer is 'No, this emotion is not helpful', tell it to go away". Now this was given to me during my lighter times with depression, so I'm not really sure if it would work all the time, but I thought it might be helpful to share something with you.
Thanks for this!
