I find it grounding. The meals are not complicated. I make rice with broccoli steamed into it. Sometimes with lentils and onions. It is a form of self care that doesn’t make me feel bad.
Recently I thought about making a meat dish but hate spending money. And then I thought the simplicity of the meal was maybe a factor in how cooking makes me feel grounded. Does cooking help you? |

I'm not sure if cooking helps me. But I'm glad it helps you! Cleaning helps me. I just have to motivate myself to do it, lol. Also eating healthy helps my mood too.

I've very recently rediscovered cooking to be helpful in keeping me grounded. I make breakfast dishes and deserts (deserts are my favorite, but not my blood sugar's).
I'm glad you've found something. It's good, positive self-care. ![]()

Can you guys tell me about some easy to make simple dishes like emptynightmare?
I have to motivate myself to do cleaning and cooking. The rare times I can do them make me feel more confident. |

Egg in a hole. It's egg in toast that has a hole in the middle. It's my favorite breakfast.
