Hello everyone. Despite the topic, I hope you are all feeling well. So depression does this thing...where you don’t seem to want to go out. I got invited to the fair, I turned that down. I was going to go out for lunch the other day, I turned it down saying something came up.
I want to go out alone as well. Something stops me all the time. “What’s the point?” Is what I say to myself. I don’t feel happy about going out and since I don’t feel comfortable around people, I want to come back home ASAP. Do any of you feel home bound? |

Something that helps me when I know I NEED to be out but don't want to...
I'll put on headphones and then go somewhere that there's people, but the headphones prevent them talking to me. The library is a good place for that, as is the coffee shop or even the park. |

Good idea. I like that. Now I just need to find it in myself to actually leave my house. I don’t need to be out but I should be out if I don’t want to be even more sad. |

That's how I've been for a while and in the past week and a half, I've only been out twice because I had to do something but I didn't want to. Much like SorryShaped, I use headphones a lot. To answer "What is the point?" I think the answer would be that it's for your health. Maybe that'll help, sometimes it helps me but mostly it doesn't.

I’ve never thought of that point. We eat to survive. Drink water to stay hydrated. And we don’t do much for our mental health. Thank you. |
