I tried it. I didn't feel a connection with my therapist, but I gave it 2 months before cancelling. I didn't do any voice or video sessions, only text. My therapist replied 6 of 7 days a week at least once a day, sometimes twice, which is more than normal. It was affordable for me at the time (you can get a discount based on monthly income) and I really wanted to try therapy again. Text is also much easier for me, so that was a big draw. I just didn't feel it was helping. It might have been her, it might have been the lack of doing voice or video (by my choice), I don't know. My main thing is I don't feel a therapist can really help with my issues anymore and I do better self-helping. For someone who can really benefit from therapy, it might still be a good option and you can do both text and voice/video sessions.

The big thing to note is that they cannot diagnose you or prescribe medication. That was the biggest drawback for me. I don't have an official diagnosis for my BPD, I only have a suggestion from a therapist I saw when I was 17 and she couldn't diagnose me at the time because I was not 18, and my main reason for wanting to get into therapy again was to get an official diagnosis. I've decided I don't need it though and am ok with self-diagnosing it and I don't feel I need medication.

I have a week trial. I’m going to see if it helps. However I also have a in person appointment with a therapist mid August. My therapist has not replied yet on Better Help. Thanks for your input. I hope your self healing continues to help you (:
