I’ve noticed for a very long time that the word “should” is sub optimal for me. I didn’t learn this in therapy.. I think I learnt it here on pc some years ago My parental units used it all the time. They didn’t own their mistakes or ... stuff..

So, basically, as I think someone else here has said.. don’t “should yourself” - or others either

They taught us that in a partial hospital program I attended: "Don't should on yourself." It's good advice...
