Last week I had a bit of a breakdown at work and I've had a couple of days off. My friends have all been telling me that I should ask for their help more often instead of struggling on my own. I stopped doing it because when I asked someone for help, maybe for a lift somewhere or to help with the school run, they were always busy with their own lives.

Yesterday there were 2 incidences where I could ask for help but normally wouldn't, and not one person answered their phone. Today I sent a message asking for some help to have a clear out of rubbish I had at home, and I received a reply 11 hours later saying they were busy. I know it could just be coincidence or short notice or whatever, but everyone who has told me to ask for help has ignored me. Why say that you'll help me if you won't even pick up the phone?

Some people say things but don't realize the weight of what they just said. I hope someone answers their phone for you.
