I cannot explain why, I don't even know why, but I have suddenly plummeted into a state of depression. I've been inconsistent with my anti-depressant meds, which could be the reason. I just want to lie down, shut out and forget the world for a whole week.

It probably is you not taking your meds regularly. Try taking them as prescribed. If that doesn't help, you should talk to your doctor.

Yes, I think it has to do with some things as well that are going on, which I don't really want to talk about on here, but I am not well.

See your therapist or call and ask and also now as you have insurance see a psychiatrist. Or talk to a primary doctor. If you are prescribed meds you have to take them regularly or adjust them or stop but don’t be inconsistent. If it’s nothing to do with meds, then maybe it’s seasonal. It’s getting cold and gloomy outside

Hang in there. Hugs

Thank you, Divine.

If it persists I’ll talk to my doctor. So weird. It’s like everything suddenly turned negative when it isn’t.

Oh dear... meds.. I can’t take them

Yeah this sounds like the probable reason why you’re feeling down.

(I have to put up with feeling like crap most of the time.. sorry for making this about me )

Btw if you don’t want to take meds for “ever” which imo isn’t ideal.. the often recommended exercise and diet really can help, for some.

But I’m no doctor

((((((((( hugs )))))))))

Hi. Hang in there please, golden_eve. Yes, going by some posts I've read of yours it's likely to do with all these changes taking place in your life over the months, catching up to you - especially a high stress job. But it's a good idea, as others have pointed out, to take meds regularly, as you know. Maybe spend the weekend on your own too, resting, sleeping and eating nice healthy food, to re-energize the mind. That's all I can think of.

Yes, keep up with therapy as well and you'll bounce back, don't you worry, g_e.

Sending out positivity and support to you! ((((Whooosh!!))))

I agree w divine and moteofsoul. I think the answer is there. I think you’re tired and overwhelmed, and the darkness of fall can be so underestimated. Also, I think the more troubled posts here can be triggering. That’s what I have experienced. I,always up my vigorous exercise program when I have significant mood swings. It really helps. I never liked exercise, but la fitness has a great aqua fit program, tho I had to try dif locations to find one fast enuf for me. Hugs.

TY...... it could definitely be partially the change of seasons. I am not good about exercise, I probably won't start now, knowing myself.

I've had a lot going on lately, so it's also probably contributing. I just feel like I need a break from life. I feel like disappearing.
