Just recently I watched Pewdiepie play a game called
.

Gotta admit, I was blown away how much similar is my condition to the protagonist David Hoover.

I am not gonna bug you with all the plot there's there to see in those videos. So I'll skip to the school part.

In this game, when David decides to enter an abandoned law school looking for a man, he meets a character called D. He's not actually real as David is hallucinating the whole thing, that there's no monster and the antagonist of the game is depression. But there begins the plot.

D is a hardworking law graduate trying to pass the bar exam, in fact he's given it for six years yet he still fails. He had one professor named Andrew, who always supported him. But then David finds his diary. In his diary it is written that D is a failure of a student. He dreams so hard to become a lawyer, but in actually he is very incompetent but surprisingly hard working. he was given the name D because it was the grade he always got and also because it can stand for 'Dreamer.'

Don't you get it, David, D grade, Dreamer? The protagonist is hallucinating the law version of himself. The protagonist wanted to become a test pilot but since he is color blind he could not, and he was humiliated in flight school cause he forged his medical records and the staff at the end found out and so he was removed and then classified as a disgrace.

It's also same for me here. It's D for Doctor here. I did always try hard to be a doctor. I did always lag behind in class and I am also called a crazy dreamer. My professors support me but they know I am incompetent. So many parallels.

You know, but in the end, David kills the Crooked Man (Depression) and he starts a new life. His ex becomes his girlfriend again, his mom forgives him before dying in the hospital bed, and the man he was finding, he finds out, committed suicide. At the final scene we see David mourning at the man's grave, telling him he couldn't make it, but through the adventure only possible by the man's sacrifice, he realized there's so much more to life. And depression is the enemy, it's a crooked monster.
