Hmm. Well I guess since I have taken it for granted while it was here and now miss it, I am grateful for electricity.

My whole street lost power, I think a pole went down or something. Should be restored in 3 hours or so. So easy to not think about it when it’s readily available. I suppose it could be worse. I have candles and my cat and music on my phone until it dies.

Hope you are managing okay Naynay and the power returns very soon! I once spent 4 days without power due to a bad storm. It was scary but I made it through. I had to make a joke out of the way I looked when I took ice cold showers....I called it my monkey dance....you can probably imagine! Haha

Today I am grateful for

floating in the calm, clear surf again
reading the latest James Patterson novel again by the shore
taking a jet ski tour where I swam with wild dolphins
picking up dozens of old sand dollars on the tour
getting to know my daughter’s boyfriend (it’s serious) better. I approve
getting ready to go home tomorrow for a wedding. I’ll travel back down on Sunday. I’m ready for my own bed.

Subway’s white chocolate macadamia nut cookies warmed up
a great dinner with the family when we got here
I fell but only slightly twisted my ankle. Lucky, lucky.
the angry ocean after several bad storms. Gorgeous.

that I never tried heroin (just saw The Souvenir) and do not live with chem dep
for understanding messages from a very kind and wise PC friend
that this week so far seems to be more stable than last

The fact that I have just enough money to pay bills, pay for medical treatment, buy food and beverages, gas up the car, and pick up a few "luxury" items along the way
