Hello PC friends,

I am wondering if anyone else is struggling with heartbreak? I am referring to heartbreak of another type. Not due to a romantic problem or what we usually associate with the word. I am referring to heartbreak associated with great loss, shock, sadness...feeling as though you lost something very important which cannot be regained...also feeling as though you lost a precious part of your own Self.

My heart is broken. This was not caused by another person. This is not a romantic issue. I just wondered if anyone else can relate. I suppose to try to summarize it, I am currently heartbroken by Life.

Peace to all the broken-hearted in this world...for any reason

I’m very sorry. It is truly an empty feeling and I know exactly what you mean. I believe you’ve described what I have been feeling for the past year or so. I have been trying to get myself back on another track and take charge of my life but yes, I have felt broken hearted. It’s important to stay with your feelings and work through them. Please don’t lose sight of hope though. You never know what blessings lay ahead and in many cases those blessings come in disguise. Anyone else dealing with heartbreak of another form?

When I am very depressed (meds are not working) I feel that way. It's like I lose myself. I have a high IQ and love to read. When I am depressed, I read and it's like the words don't make it into my brain. I can't even listen to audiobooks. This also happens when I'm not sleeping well. It is like losing myself in a way. So I get it.

I'm so sorry you're going through all of this, HopefullyLost121 I understand what you mean. It's pretty painful when it happens. I experience heartbreak when I imagine that there may be not future for me. That things won't get better. Just the thought of it makes me hopeless and numb. It's hard to describe. But I'm sure many people here on PC know it much too well. I'm so sorry you're hurting so much. You deserve to suffer like this. You're a wonderful person, just like everyone else here on PC. You deserve good things coming to you. I hope things will get better soon for you. I'm so sorry, I know it's hard. I hope you'll feel better soon. Is there anything we can do to help you? Please let us know. Remember that we're here for you if you need it. Feel free to PM me anytime. Let me know if I can do something to help you. Wish you good luck! Let us know how it goes. I'm so sorry you have to deal with this

Yes, I know what you mean. I guess feeling broken hearted for me goes along with feeling broken. Like I came into life with hope and innocence, but it was crushed and squeezed out of me. I think you are describing the sadness and loss of that breakage. Life is harsh, and we witness and feel first hand how brutal it can be. We are sad because we keep on being sensitive humans despite that brutality. I remind myself it's better to be sad than uncaring, but some days it really hurts and the depression is heavy. . .

I’ve thought a lot about this post of yours, Hopefully, partly because I have no pat answers, in fact no answers at all. I can only offer that dealing with heartbreak of any kind - and most of mine have been over other beings, but not all - probably has to do with accepting reality. That is, the reality you don’t like. And as another wise one here has said, you certainly don’t have to do it all at once. But in the end, you CAN do it. ❤️
