I avoid a lot of stuff...

People irl...

Scary medical stuff..

It shall not be discussed

I really would be unlikeable if I discussed that

Avoid it and it might go away .....

(I don’t need a lecture about consulting a doctor. And that isn’t intended as a mean comment )

Sigh. Avoidance. It's awful and devastating for me.

I get it. Avoiding grrrr Fuzzy.

I do better with people when I get to pick and choose who I want to talk to and I trust my own judgement and instincts. It's a numbers game I suppose, like they say. There are some nice people out there. Those that aren't or that I just don't relate to -- I mind my manners and disengage at the first chance ... not my problem anymore. Life's too short and too difficult to put up with the poor choices my family and other acquaintances have made.

That's the theory anyways. I've had some results, but need more practice. If only doing all those numbers wasn't so hard because I'm avoidant. Avoiding grrrr

I hope you don't mind my babbling in your thread.

It's sad that we have to hide so much because of judgement. People also think this is for girls and this is for boys. I have a few pink dress shirts and pink ties because I like how it goes with black suites. Judging people is still one of the biggest flaws that the world still struggles with along with the people living in it. Makeup on guys doesn't bother me either. It looks really good on a guy the works in the accounting dept.

There is nothing about you that I or most people here would make us think negative of you. You....just you...who you are and what you like or don't like, makes up a part of who you are.
That is amazing.

"But you have to understand, mental illness is like cholesterol. There is good kind and the bad. Without the good kind -- less flavor to life. Van Gogh, Beethoven, Edgar Allen Poe, Sylvia Plath, Pink Floyd (the early Piper at the Gates of Dawn line up), scientific breakthrough, spiritual revolution, utopian visions, zany nationalism that kills millions -- wait, that's the bad kind."
