My experience has been that situations turn out okay in the end because we do what needs to be done to make it so. There is a quote I dearly love. It is supposedly advice the 11th century Tibetan yogini Machig Labdrön received from her teacher:
"Confess your hidden faults. "Approach what you find repulsive. "Help those you think you cannot help. "Anything you are attached to, let it go. "Go to places that scare you."
