This time of year it all gets worse. It's been bulding for weeks, and now I find myself sitting here in a cold, dirty house with nothing done listening to the same two songs over and over for two hours.
It's ok though, the songs are "Clocks" by Coldplay, and "Doesn't Remind me of Anything" by Audioslave. If I'd gotten stuck on "Paint it Black" or "The End" it would be a sign I'm heading for some self desructive act. How can I understand it so well and not be able to fix or control it?

Oh! I know that feeling so well. Paralyzed

Bad time of year and too much to do and I ended up not able to do anything. Ended up calling my therapist and he helped me.

Do you have someone you can call?

I know what it is like. Thinking of you. Paralyzed

understanding is the first step.
But I agree... it doesn't mean you can fix it. If you understood that a table fell apart because the screws came off, that's good.. but you'd also need the tools to fix it.
If you didn't happen to have those tools, or the knowledge how to use the tools... you'd have to find someone to lend you the tools and/or show you how to use them.

Keep trying,... keep trying to figure things out. And if you cant figure it out on your own, try to search out those "tools" by contacting other people who might be able to help you

keep going... and keep posting...
