Most of the time I do not feel that I have any value...

On occasion I manage a small slice...

I know I have it but feeling it, is something different

Depression interferes with my ability to feel my own value. Further, depression and whatever remains of my rationality leaves me doubting I can objectively assess my own value.

Thanks for this question Mountainstream

Good posts Thirty shades and Rohag... as always your posts are kind, sincere, intelligent, inclusive, caring and thoughtful.

With hugs and love to all suffering

As for me? A combination of “no” (from all those abusers... I have not given up on eliminating their trash which never belonged to me....) and what Thirty shades and Rohag said. I’m a bit “messed up”

Rationally I know that each person in this thread has immense value,

With love

this value thing is tricky....
who decides what is valuable...
i find value in honesty and the truth and reality...
i don't any longer find value in how much money you have..
i find value in kindness to self and others....

Yes I do. I think I have a lot of value. I believe I am smart to a great extent, that I am good and I will do good.

My psychiatrist has told me nobody can be objective enough when they're dealing with themselves. It's a futile exercise. Of course he can be wrong, but why would you want to asses yourself?
