When we feel pain....

Can you describe it?

Do you rate it out of ten?

Left unchecked does it lead you to feel panicky?

I guess I’d give my pain a 7 or 8 today

With spikes of 9

My pain has been an 8 or 9 today.

It feels like anxiety and profound heartbreak.

My pain is mostly about anxiety which stems from thoughts from my past issues that started all of this for me. It is hard to rate it as pain because my body isn't in pain like I broke my leg, but it is more like it is is total fear and I can't really give a number to that especially when I am in it. All I can do is use the techniques given to me by my therapist to calm me down and have the support of my parents or whoever I suppose is around when I get like that which is mostly my parents.

I welcome this post although I never really thought about it this way. I guess I just endured it. But at the hospital if you've had surgery they are always at you to rate your pain. That is, 1-10. I guess if I were to analyze it I would say that it's always there, maybe sort of "in remission", at a sort of 2-3-4 most of the time. But if something triggers it I want to die. I'd say then it's easily 8-9. So you try to endure.

I always have trouble describing mental pain, it feels mercurial and hard to pin down.

I am at an 8 today.

I feel a little panicky on occasion, but try to fight it.

Today, I feel needy....

Needy to be loved, I think. (but TS is not worthy of being loved because she needs to be loved, )

Maybe a 8.5 out of ten.

I think we both know where those feelings may have originated

Don't listen to the world. The ego's there are fighting to be more superior.

Fuzzybear is a kind respectful bear.

Not only is Fuzzy not a bad bear, she looks like a million $ in a hula skirt!

Life is sometimes painful with the loss of loved ones when you least expect it. Pain is knowing you can’t always change into the person you want to be, but you can improve upon the person you currently are at the moment. Pain is felt psychologically and sometimes literally since have TMJ pain when stressed and have stiff, achy neck when sitting at computer almost all day. Today my pain is 4/10 overall with flaring to 7/10 when TMJ pain strikes.

I dont measure my pain in numbers. I visualize it. The sadness, hurt, pain and anger are a lake. When I am well I am at the edge, ankles deep and enjoying the sun. Unwell I am backfloating in the middle, ready to sink at any moment.

Right now Im drifting towards the middle, hoping to redirect myself back to shore.
