I am new to this and here out of desperation. My sister attempted to end her life in May . Well she had to be resuscitated, so I guess she succeeded. It has been a nightmare since that day.

She has been diagnosed with bipolar 1 for at least 15 years. I've only known her for 15 years . She is 50 and I'll make this brief because I do not even. Know wht to expect from this....only that I am desperate for help.

Her delusions have ran her between 5 different towns and 3 different hospitals. I can not seem.to get anyone to help her . Not even as her DPOA. She has never done drugs , she is terrified of them and one of her main delusions is that she exposed a drug ring in the cemetery near her . She filed a police report. She thinks it was a dirty cop . And she is in constant fear .
The hospitals release her when she goes in for "smells, throat closing up, oily skin, headache , toes tingly . She has told me she isn't taking any meds, she is now convinced that big pharma or the govt. Is using her as a guinea pig and refuses to take any medications.

Her therapist told me to have her police escorted for screening and placement.
For failure of self care. I have tried.
. Twice. 2 different towns, to no avail .....

Any advice or idk anything would be a great help . At this moment she is somewhere back in this town . Homeless. And toting around her 2 cats in a carrier .

It can be a challenge to help people who don't want help. Is she at a homeless shelter? Even if she isn't, are there any in your area you could call to get some tips on resources for her?
