I’ve been told by some people in real life (mostly family) that I’m prickly, selfish and unpleasant. I try to be kind. I make mistakes. I haven’t met anyone who never makes mistakes. Today someone at work was rude to me and I only said hi and made a neutral comment. She looked me up and down and made a sarcastic comment. I find this world to be harsh. I have trust issues. I trust very few people. I have social anxiety and depression. I feel quite hurt by this person at work. Maybe yet again I’ll have to change jobs. Nobody there seems to be kind. When people insult me I’m supposed to just say nothing. I was taught to say nothing by family. I feel like insulting them back but then the situation would escalate. Or maybe I’m too sensitive. So I put up with being insulted by people with no empathy. This adds to my depression.

When someone is nasty to you, i don't think it is right to say you are too sensitive.

Anyone receiving harsh comments would feel hurt and violated. Regular abusive comments means they cut us deeper

I have seen the assertive thing to do is to disagree with their venom. They sound like a bully to me....

Sending you respect and loving kindness
Thanks for this!

That is NO FAIR at all to you, mountainstream!! You are kind and wonderful!! I know that. You know that. Everyone here knows that. Please do ALWAYS remember that and do NOT listen to anyone who's telling you the opposite, ok? Remember that you're kind and wonderful as much, if not more, as anyone else. I'm so sorry your family is making these comments. They're the ones who should support us the most. It hurts when they do the exact opposite. Don't let them get to you though. You're stronger than the, You're also stronger than you beliueve so please hang on to that, ok? Is there a way fro you to move away from your family? Also, if there's a chance for you to change your job and find a better workplace that would be the ideal. You can also try to file a complaint to your Bosses or the higher ups at that place. Would that be an option? Please be kind to yourself. Praqctice mindfulness and remember that you're a WONDERFUL person no matter what others may think. Practic self-care and be kind to yourself, ALWAYS. Feel free to PM me ANYTIME when you need someone to talk to, Friend. You know I'll ALWAYS be here for you and that my Inbox is ALWAYS open for EVERYONE. Please don't hesitate to write to me when you need Advice and Support or anything else. I'm SURE plenty of tohers will gladly help you out and offer Assistance, Advice, Help, Support, Kindness, Generousity, Open Ears and a Kind Heart as well!! Sending many safe, warm hugs to BOTH You, @mountainstream, your Friends and ALL Of Your Loved Ones! Please keep fighting and keep rocking as much as you possibly can like you're already wonderfully doing entirely on your own! PLEASE DO KEEP FIGHTING AND DO KEEP ROCKING, MY AWESOME, DEAR, KIND, SWEET, GENEROUS, WISE AND WONDERFUL FRIEND!!
