I have been a temp for 3 months at a warehouse job that im not really crazy about. I know there is no future there, the drive is AWFUL and makes me anxious about leaving all day (nearly been in accidents 3-4x because people drive 50-70 in a 35) and I am at a loss for what to do, I cry every day that I work, uncontrollably because I have tried to stop it but I cant... I was told there would be no heavy lifting and there is as well. I have a hiatisl hernia, hypothyroidism, pcos and lupus on top of depression and anxiety. All that I'm medicated for but I am terrified I'll make the wrong choice about quitting...has anyone ever quit because of depression? Found something better or?

I've quit jobs, it's best to find a replacement job before quitting. With that said I quit and find another job. But sometimes it can take a while.

I've quit jobs before. I've also been fired before. It sounds like you absolutely need to get away from this job.

If you are temping, is there an agency sending you to that warehouse? Can you ask if there are other assignments available? Are there other jobs available in the area where you live?

I had been laid off at so many jobs. That was happening around 20-30 years ago. In the last 20 years ago or so I have remained steady in jobs.

I remembered that I had just flat out quit a job about 22 years ago. I had nothing lined up when I did. It was an awful job, working in a warehouse type place with other guys who were of another nationality than me and didn't speak English. That job wasn't that bad but the guys I worked with were horrible. They would at times speak to each other about me in their own language, which I think is cowardly. So I just resigned and didn't have another job lined up. But it was the best thing I ever did. I got a job after that was different and very right for me. It didn't last because I got it from a Temp Agency, but I did get jobs just like it after that. It changed my life for better.

I got those warehouse type jobs in the distant past from Temp Agencies and they were pretty bad.

Also, having depression can make any job a bit difficult. With me I can find fault very easily, even with an ideal job and conditions. I like my job now but there are some little things that can bring me down and ruin a day.
