If so, what does that mean to you?
If not, please elaborate. Or maybe.... it's not quite that black and white Respect to all __________________ |

I think that I'm both positive and negative, but mostly negative. When I'm in a really good mood, then I can be positive. But then I would think that the goodness in life is too good to be true. Lots of times I have feelings of doom and gloom and that the bad times lurk in the horizon. When I feel bad, then it's very hard for me to feel positive.

When things are really hard and bad, I can be a very positive person. But for the most part, I tend to be a very negative person. Unfortunately.

For me its a mix. In the right frame of mind, I can be very positive.
Unfortunately I also have a snake who loves to catastrophize. Sending empathy to you Fuzzybear |

I am about 90% positive now in my life. The 10% negative only applies if I am in a depression or if I am under major stress I cant handle. I wasnt always like this. I used to be a glass-half-empty kind of person and never took responsibility for my own actions. I have always been a person who likes to joke and have fun and I can be sarcastic but in a funny way- but I know I have rubbed people the wrong way sometimes. Honestly I credit sobriety for making me a positive person. I got sober 7 years ago and the way I did it completely re-vamped the kind of person I am. My husband always says that as hard as my alcoholism was its almost like he would go through it all again if he knew I would end up being this kind of person.
I am the kind of positive person that nauseates you. I don't tell depressed people to "think positive" or act corny, Its all because of hope. I learned that nothing is hopeless and I can get through the worst of times and come out on the other side. I choose to look at mistakes as lessons. I learn from my mistakes now and am able to mostly correct my behavior- and apologize when I do wrong. Because of what I have been through- growing up abused-addiction-and this situation with my daughter I have no time or desire to dwell on the past or give up. __________________ "I carried a watermelon?" no.
simply put: I see things for what they are I won't say something like, oh today's going to be good, it's going to be fun, today is going to be what today is going to be if it gets to the end and it's a bad day, then it's a bbad day. i'm not the type of operson to sit their and think well.. yeah, today was a bad day, but at least this happened bad days are bad, good days are good same with my mood: if I'm depressed, I'm depressed etc etc |

I think fundamentally I'm a sad person, a lonely person, and a person with a lot of 'issues'. When I say 'person' I mean my mind. But over time I discovered a certain value in positiveness, it's something that really resonates with me, and maybe it's the missing part that should've been there in my upbringing, but wasn't. I find negativity to be painful and dark, and positiveness to be light and uplifting, so, in that respect, I prefer to be a positive person. And actually it's part of my character now, though lately I've been struggling with the other side of the coin, the negative.
